Club website FAQ

What does a club website cost?
It depends on the scope: departments, membership form, fixtures. For non-profit clubs we find a solution that fits your budget. Just get in touch.
Why not just a free website builder?
Builders are quick to set up but often slow, full of ads or trackers and weak on Google. And when the one person who knows how it works leaves, the site stands still. We build fast, legally sound and so that the next committee can manage it too.
Who updates the site when our webmaster leaves?
That’s exactly what we plan for: easy updating without tech skills, a short guide and, if you like, care by us. When the committee changes, we hand over cleanly.
Can we show photos of members?
Safest with consent, for children from all parents or guardians. German data protection authorities partly see this differently. We build the site so images can easily be swapped or removed.
Does the club need an imprint and privacy policy?
Yes. In Germany clubs also need an imprint under § 5 DDG, with board and register entry, and a privacy policy that matches what the site does.
Can people apply for membership online?
Yes, as a form with membership types, for example family, youth or reduced. The details arrive at the club by email.
Do we need a cookie banner?
Not if the site works without tracking, and ours does. Careful with embedded maps and videos: we embed them so that data only goes to third parties after a click.
Does it work with Ligaroo?
Yes. If you like, we show your club ranking from Ligaroo directly on the website, with check-in at practice and titles for the regulars.
